About Me

I am a grade 8 science, math, and ethics teacher in Quebec, Canada. I have a background in science and am interested in global and environmental issues.

I've been teaching for 8 years and on a daily basis am inspired by my students.

A few years ago I used the TIGed feature to connect my class to Mr. Moses in Uganda where they learned about what life is like there, the challenges Mr. Moses's community faces, and how iit all differed from here. My students wanted to fund raise to help improve the lives of the youth in Mr. Moses's community. Our school is wireless and my classes have a 1:1 laptop program, so we camped out in the gym for 24 hrs.. playing sports, watching movies, playing games, and chatting/videoconferencing with people from around the world who are trying to make a positive difference. It was ALOT of work, but so well worth it :) They will always remember the people we connected with.
